German Emissions Trading Authority as National Competent Authority

The decree of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) of 22/12/2023 commissioned the German Environment Agency to act as a national competent authority, with the task being performed by the DEHSt according to the CBAM Ordinance with immediate effect.

We have therefore set up a new CBAM section on the DEHSt website where you can find all the latest relevant information. In addition, the European Commission also offers detailed information with guidance documents, webinars and extensive FAQs.
