The European Commission has published the first price of CBAM certificates for 2026 Q1 on its new dedicated page on the CBAM website. The price for the first quarter of 2026 stands at 75.36 euros.
Each quarterly price in 2026 will apply to the sales of CBAM certificates corresponding to embedded emissions in CBAM goods imported into the EU during that quarter. In 2026, the European Commission will calculate and publish four quarterly prices, one for each calendar quarter. From 2027 onwards, the European Commission will calculate and publish weekly prices. The price for the second quarter will be published by the European Commission on 06/07/2026.
The sales of CBAM certificates will start in February 2027.
