Auctioning of Emission Allowances in Germany

Since the beginning of 2010, the Federal Republic of Germany has been offering emission allowances (EUAs) at the European Energy Exchange EEX in Leipzig. As of the third trading period, the Auctioning will become the fundamental allocation rule in the European Emissions Trading System (EU ETS).
